My i2 - build August 2008 has firmware 20.02

Then something is wrong. Any i2/x2/x2 Turf manufactured 10/17/07 or later should have firmware 20.03. I assume you checked the release by the InfoKey and mixed it up with the displayed REV version, which is the version of the InfoKey's MSP430 firmware. This is the only one which is still at 20.02. You need to check REV (revision InfoKey), MFG (serial InfoKey and manufacturing date), CU (control unit), BSA (balance sensor assembly) and UIC (user interface console).
