Alarm Mode Power Draw

My measurements of power draw to keep a unit charged and the power draw to keep it charged and power the alarm showed 12 watts.

Realizing that there is a charging inefficiency, you could probably estimate it at something close to 10 watts out of the battery. Also, it is believed that the alarm is powered by only one battery and each battery holds about 400 wh.

Therefore, from the above numbers I would estimate that the combination of powering the internal circuitry and the alarm could totally drain a fully charged rear (I think it is the rear) battery in less than a day.

There was anecdotal experience previously offered of 5 hours per bar on an i2, but those bars aren't linear. I'd be reluctant to run the obvious test of putting it on alarm and timing it to shutoff. I have no confidence that it wouldn't over-discharge and go below the threshold for recharging.

I think I'd call it "not insignificant" draw, but certainly no problem while shopping or dining.
